I often get asked, “should I be running Facebook ads inbetween launches?”
The short answer is, YES!
I am going to explain why, here, in this article…
It’s that time again, when you are opening the doors to your course or programme
You’re starting to get into ‘launch’ mode to start putting the wheels in motion and get those ads running.
Perhaps you start to launch your Facebook and Instagram ads 10 days before, perhaps 2 weeks?
But have you thought of running them inbetween launches?
“Why would I do that?” I hear you say.
Isn’t that going to cost even more money?
Well, yes it will. But maybe not as much as you think.
So, let’s look at what type of Facebook and Instagram ads you could run inbetween launches and why…
Let’s get into it.
Testing New Audiences
Are you launching your Facebook ads to the same audience you always run your Facebook and Instagram ads to?
When was the last time you tested other audiences?
As the saying goes,
“if you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always gotten.”
If you’ve never tested other audiences, or you haven’t done that for quite some time – running paid ads to other audiences, to test which ones convert and, at what cost, is a GREAT reason to run Facebook & Instagram ads inbetween launches.
I’m not talking about conversion ads – you could try running visibility ads.
Think of these as your TV commercials, your billboard ads or magazine ads. Think back to a time before social media – (you do remember that, right?) How was you made aware of the brands that are still around today?
The best ads for these are video view ads.
These are much cheaper than the conversion ads.
You should have these running in the background all the time.
Be sure to keep it relevant and give value.
You can retarget this audience again later with your conversion ads…
Try Your New Freebie
You have created a new opt-in – freebie. Why wait until launch to see if it people want it or need it?
I’d always suggest sending this out organically first, by the way.
Secondly, send this out to your audience prior to launching.
This will give you plenty of time to adjust it if you need to, rather than have a mad panic during launch when you realise it’s not as great as you thought it was.
Need More Traffic To Your Website?
To get more traffic to your website, you could run traffic ads to some of your blogs or even episodes of your podcast.
Not only will this boost your page in the google rankings, but you can retarget visitors with other ads – such as your freebie or about your new launch!
This is also a great way to find out which topics are more popular to your audience, and it will help you determine future content.
Should you be running ads inbetween launches?
Yes, 100%!
I would even suggest that if you have the budget, to have Facebook ads running all the time in the background. Even if it’s just a traffic ad.
You won’t need a huge budget these!
